New Arrivals: Fallen
Share
There are moments in autumn that last only days — when the colour reaches its absolute peak before the cold takes it. Fallen is one of those moments.
Captured at Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, maple leaves at the height of their season — crimson, amber, and gold — have been swept by a shallow stream across wet, rain-slicked river stones. The flowing water blurs to silk around them, holding them briefly in place against the dark stone below.
The 4:3 format suits the density of the image. There is no single focal point, only a rich field of colour and texture that rewards close attention. At 40×30″, the individual leaves, the gleam of wet stone, and the subtle gradations between reds and golds come fully into their own.
Fallen is available in three gallery-quality configurations — Giclée Print in an Art Box Frame, Print under Acrylic in an Art Box Frame, and Laminated Print in an Art Box Frame — in sizes from 12×9″ to 40×30″, from $319. Ships worldwide.
