Behind the Scenes: The Artbox Frame

The artbox frame represents the pinnacle of museum-quality presentation for fine art photography. This premium framing option combines sophisticated engineering with elegant design to create a floating presentation that elevates the artwork.

What Makes the Artbox Frame Special

Unlike traditional framing methods, the artbox frame creates a three-dimensional presentation where the print appears to float within a sleek, minimalist frame. This approach draws the viewer's attention directly to the image while providing substantial depth and presence on the wall.

Construction and Materials

Each artbox frame is precision-crafted using premium materials selected for both durability and aesthetic impact. The frame profile is engineered to provide structural integrity while maintaining clean, contemporary lines that complement rather than compete with the photograph. The frame is available in four different colors: black, white silver and gold.

The Mounting Process

The print is carefully bonded to an aluminum dibond backing system to create a print assembly. The print assembly is then mounted onto an artbox frame. The spacing between the print assembly and the frame creates the signature floating effect, while the backing system provides flatness, secure support and protection.

Hanging Considerations

Hanging the frame on a wall is achieved by using nails/screws inserted into the wall with their heads protruding into the channel grooves shown on the rear of the frame in the cut-out view below. Obviously, care must be taken to ensure the nails/screws are horizontal and level before installing the framed art on the wall as adjustments after the fact are limited.

The frame may also just be simply rested on a shelf and leaned against a wall for display.

This framing option represents a commitment to presenting photography as fine art, with every detail considered to honor the image and enhance the viewing experience.
